Poppy Wall

An amazing project be part of. We designed and produced a number of large boards to be mounted to an external wall at Acklam Grange School in Middlesbrough. The walls featured oversized graphics of local men who had died during the war. The batons also featured stories of these soldiers as well as almost 4,000 names of both soldiers that died during WW2 who were from Middlesbrough and famous local men and women, school children and the families of the fallen soldiers. Each child was then to be given a bespoke clear red acrylic poppy which they were to stick to the wall next to their own name which had been matched with a fallen hero. The school and the National Lottery funded this project with the help of locals and it has proven to be a huge success and was even nominated for an award in 2019. We also produced a bespoke timeline of the world and off Middlesbrough throughout World War 2 which the children use as a study reference.
